In of the closest meets ever, the Cudas swam past the Rascals by 3 points on Saturday setting up a for a battle royal at Divisionals this weekend. The location this week was the Water Rascals home pool. What a great location for a dual meet with all the trees and covers. The only thing the 4 lane yard pool was missing....were a few more lanes. But hats off the the volunteers and swimmers on both sides on keeping the meet moving. An early start at 8:00am got the meet going which ended at 1:15pm. Clouds kept off the sun most of the day and no rain was seen. The scoring was close as the score suggests. The Rascals had a large group of older kids that the Cudas had to contend with. In many cases they fielded 2 relay teams! But only one relay team can score. Looking at the scores you can see many cases where the Cudas won 1st place for 5 points, but the Rascals won second, 3 points and third, 1 point. So for that event the Cudas only gained 1 point. It was likt this all day. The Cudas were also missing a few regulars at the meet, we hope to have everyone back for Divisionals this week. Also at this event a 9-10 age boys Cuda swimmer broke a pool record! 3 points or 1 point, it was still a well deserved and well earned victory for the Cudas. Congratulations!!
